A nice quiet morning and then a stroll down to the old city for lunch again. This time a tuna steak with sesame seed coating burger for more, and a second dose of calamari (spicy) burger for Bronnie today.
We went for a bit of an explore around the old city tourist shops, up the steep laneways to the city walls, sitting on the sea wall, seeing the cats of Dubrovnik, apparently famous strays, and having a nice stroll around dodging the rain and wind. As we entered the city, I was pretty excited as they were filming part of "the Amazing Race" so have been claiming "I was on TV" aka Mike Wizowski ever since. They were doing a race downhill on little go cart thingys trying to get under a certain time before receiving their next clue (ie a roadblock). Didn't see Phil Keoghan though...bummer. They were still filming the last of the takes as we were leaving some 4 hours later. Interesting to see though. So, keep an eye out for season 78 of the Amazing Race when it drops back home.
Another quiet night in watching some telly (House). Also, made some further bookings of high speed train tickets from Marseilles to Avignon 12/4 and then Avignon to Paris for the 19/4 before we head over to the USA that afternoon. The next couple of days are forecast to be windy and rainy again so a chance to get some further bookings locked in for the USA leg of the trip. Finances are OK but still wary of cost blowouts along the way. Should be right!
