A nice gentle start to the day along with some experimenting with recharging the hybrid battery, booking a black taxi cab tour of murals and political understanding in Belfast tomorrow and we first headed off to the nearby craft shop for a browse, with a packed lunch of course. Suitable purchases later we headed up to the relatively nearby Malin Head for an explore around.

The area is suitably picturesque and on a clearer day it is possible to spot Scotland! Some short walks to sea cliffs, towers and drives to viewpoints with appropriate photos taken, including one that would be significant to Star Wars fan, the R2D2 sign and we'd had a nice short day out. Return to the cottage and then just a short trip away for me to check out the nearby Glenlevin waterfall. It was a nice 20 minute wander along a well made gravel path, past some adventurous sheep on the valley sides, and onto the falls themselves. Story has it that an American named Doris purchased the land around the falls, with no knowledge of their existence, but could hear the water one day so she set off with her farm manager on the arduous trek to find the source of the noise. On finding them she determined that they were such a beautiful thing that she wanted all of the community to enjoy them. Working closely with council the pathway has been set out and now all tourists and locals can enjoy them. Thanks Doris!!!

Back home for dinner, dram and a warming coal fire watching some Nettie!
